for like the 10’th time this year, trying to pick up the pieces and get back on track with our album and my life.
before i get my life back, had to call roomba and see what was wrong with my cleaning robot. had to order a new wheel. my house is dirty.
back from taking my mon to trader joe’s. trying to get her to try better and healthier foods.
great way to start the day. phone call from amex saying anji’s card was used by someone else. the same happened with my card a week ago. wtf
need to pop by kinkos, i mean fedex kinkos, or fedex office, or whatever the hell it’s called now.
cool. our old cool musician buddy/piano guru gabriel is going to hopefully have lunch with us on tuesday. always fun hanging with him.
trying to figure out how to upgrade my mom’s dial up AOL to broadband. totally lame and confusing website. no wonder they’re sucking it.
had another rad practice session with my 82 les Paul. ironically that guitar hasn’t made into Lovespirals 4, which is all stratocasters.
played basketball again tonight at the gym, trying to improve my mood and spirits. worked a little bit.
having another not so great day.

sad to hear about les paul’s passing. when i practice later today, i’ll be playing my 1982 les paul standard, my first real good guitar.

doctor just called me back with results of my blood test. i’m cool: i just have one of typical summer viruses and not the dreaded swine flu.
looking at san fran rentals on craigslist w/ @anjibee. we’d really love to move up for at least a year.
sitting around trying/waiting to feel better.
been feverish since last night. sucks. going to see my doctor later today.
sitting around tired and sniffly with a stupid cold.
sucks though that i now seem to have some sorta lame ass cold.
got my “lost” data back onto my computer last night. everything seems to be there. lovespirals 4 is back on track.
just finished a guitar practicing/self jamming session. pleased with how my 82 les Paul and sorta new menatone Howie pedal sound together.

just learned that california spends the same on its prisons as its universities: $14 billion a year each. no wonder our state is broke.

after talking to the credit card people turns out Anji’s card is fine. they scared us with a not totally accurate email.
now some asshole has tried to make an online purchase with Anji’s credit card. WTF is going on.
i think we sorta accidentally came up with a perfect name for our upcoming album last night.
great. now so asshole tried to buy a thousand dollars of crap on tigerdirect with my credit card. shit won’t stop happening to me.
off to buy my first suit in decades at a place that specializes in european cut/slim fit style. hopefullly i’ll look like the beatles.
the data recovery guy said he recovered all my data. but he didn’t finish copying it yet. can’t wait to get that lost vocal session back.
after one of my worst weeks ever some good news. my lost hard drive data has been recovered and at a totally reasonable price.
feeling kind of blue on a nice summer day.

enjoying the cool coastal overcast evening in la jolla. had a nice swim earlier. drinking rose wine now. having morroccon dinner soon.
finally made it to la jolla. too much summer tourist traffic all the way here. but the place is awesome and the cloudy coast delightful.

stoked that a music friend/IT pro is setting me up with his mac data expert to have a look at my drive. gotta get those lost vocals!
so if i don’t pay do get my drive back, i’ll just lose my itunes library, which is conveniently on my fat ass ipod anyway.
ADR Data Recovery is trying to bargain and deal with me to get my data that they already backed up! what kind of business model is that?
going through my song files that i had slightly older backups of. so far, they are promising; sounding damn close to the recent mixes.
the data recovery place wants to charge me $1600 to recover my hard drive data! wtf? i’ll just use my slightly old backups.
after all the hard drive crap that plagued the first half of the day, we got some nice vocal work done today. hope for more on wednesday.
finally back to recording. working on a song that has needed vocals for at least year.
